Woo!
Somehow I managed to miss that the INO has wangled indemnity insurance for the 20 or so independent midwives for another 6 months. This will, I hope, give the HSE enough time to get it into its thick skull that independent midwifery is something to be encouraged, not suppressed.
Yeah, I know, sometimes I crack me up too. It was pretty much 11th hour stuff, there were only 10 days left on the policy, which would have left some interesting situations had it been allowed to lapse. The insurance only costs about a grand a year. Kinda shows how low risk it is, eh? In comparison, say, to hospital birth. No, Sarah, they don't want to hear you go on about this again. Eat some chocolate and shut the hell up.
Bed now, no more work. Plenty to be done, but it can feck off till I've rested properly. Hitting the hay before 5 would possibly be a good thing. Not managed that all week though. Not been getting up till early afternoon, either, so no stern looks about me not sleeping enough are necessary. I've got the hint.
Edit at 05:55 No, no I haven't got the hint. Hey, I can't help it if breech is really interesting.
