This is really only going to make sense to the one person I hope will read it, but I need to get it said.
A chara, you know me well enough by now to have an idea of how much pain you caused me by asking me not to contact you. I'm delighted you've found someone to share your life with, but I simply cannot understand why this means we can't remain friends. It is not best our friendship ends this way. I don't see why it has to end at all. Your method of communicating your wish to me did not go down well either. I've gone beyond denial, vomiting, crying and anger into acceptance. There's little more I can say except that I know you read this occasionally and want you to be happy but cannot understand why what I thought was a fine friendship should have to end. I don't use the word friend lightly, but I've considered you one for years. You will always know how to find me if you need me. That won't change. However, I will honour your request and finish by really and truly wishing you happiness from the bottom of my heart.
To anyone who isn't the gentleman in question, well I had to do something to get it out of my system. Anyone who has seen me in "bottling up then exploding into little cake and mead bits" mode will understand.
