Sep. 11th, 2007 02:52 pmI think I'm broken. It's about 10 weeks to my 30th and mum asked what I want in case it needs to be ordered. Other than a cake with 30 candles on it the only thing is a Pinard stethoscope of my very own, which'll set her back about a tenner. There's genuinely nothing I want or need. And that's a wonderful thing to be able to say.
I'm torn between a beautiful rosewood one and a plastic one. Wood gives much better sound than plastic, but plastic's somewhat better for infection control purposes. And the cleaning is kinda part of the reason for wanting one of my own. The same reason I carry my own steth, I don't know something has been cleaned to my standards unless I've cleaned it myself. But the sound tends to be so much clearer through wood. Bah. Decisions.
