Jun. 13th, 2006 04:45 pmPhew, been a while since I updated, many reasons there, mostly of the "life's being annoying and I don't want everyone to think I'm a whingey cow" variety. Usual things, really, and then accidentally becoming someone's bit on the side for a month. Oh and got thrown off that fucker of a horse who doesn't like beginners but is the only one that can handle my weight. All's fine though. Head no more wonky than usual and ribs intact. Yayness.
Martha Baby Sister was at Metallica on Sunday and as I've somehow taken over the role of responsible adult of the house had to deposit her and about a dozen of her charming friends at the RDS with the instructions that they were to leave by the gate they went in. Being 15, she ignored me. I'd just walked far too far in stupid wedges and had my cranky face on when I finally found her. Simmonscourt Rd. is not Merrion Rd. Must drag her round Dublin more to teach her things like that. In between had delightful walk in Dun Laoghaire and much needed sitting, all in very pleasant company and almost as pleasant temperature. Got her home round 2 leaving her a grand total of 5 hours sleep before her Junior Cert Maths paper 2...
Other than that, well I didn't get the mature student entry for midwifery but that was pretty much expected when I was competing against an awful lot of people for a shot at one of very few places. It's a good thing I was clever 10 years ago when I did the Leaving. Should have the points for midwifery (damn it being a new course, no idea what demand is like) but if I don't it'll be done the old route of general nursing first then RM postgrad. Hopefully in Dublin, don't think I could handle another 4-6 years of self-imposed exile here in Drawwda. In any case, roll on September!
