Le weekend
Oct. 31st, 2006 01:10 pmFriday was first chance to go out for a few drinkies with some of the class. They were immune to my selling Fibbers as a choice location, unfortunately. Coulda been interesting.
rbpixies held my beer hostage (my own fault for surrendering it on demand) until I finally took out the tongue bar. It's gone and I miss it but not as much as I thought I would. Bit of an up-side in that the baby niece has decided I'm not Sarah shaped enough anymore to let me near her. First time someone's been rejected as a babysitter because of lack of piercings?
Meandered home Saturday via Bettystown and a picnic on the beach. It made sense to me at the time. Slightly snuffling today but nothing that'll kill babies.
Sunday was a day of cake to celebrate my grandmother's 82nd birthday. We packed her off for dinner in the pub while we tucked into ours. She got cake though. Probably more than a diabetic should get, but hey, you gotta enjoy yourself.
Spent from 6 to 7 yesterday morning running round like a crazy person trying to remember where I was meant to be and what I was meant to be doing. Took far too long to remember about the magic of bank holidays. Silliness.
This morning was spent reading the health promotion articles in the Rotunda that are printed as Gaeilge. Had to pass the time somehow. All the women in antenatal had been discharged or had babies or heard that a bunch of students wanted to feel their abdomens. I'm enjoying my early finishing day of Tuesday while it lasts. Oh, week off next week. I plan on getting me some of that fiction stuff. And investigating the recipe for Orgasmacake that I found under my bed. Yummy.
