What, will this hair ne'er be clean?

2 showers and a bath later and there are still traces of yesterday in my hair. There may be a trip to the hairdresser soon that might end in me having next to no hair, but at least hair that is easy to wash and doesn't need to be tied up. I doubt it will suit me. The stuff has a habit of being frizzy and my face is far too round for short hair, but needs must. Or I could take the veil. Nothing I can do about the battle scars except a nice compress.

I'm enjoying an evening of doing whatever I like, which right now involves a lot of coffee and DVDs. It is a very good evening, and I'm glad that my only real resolution for this year was to enjoy myself and have nothing but goodness surrounding me. So far I ain't broken it. Hurrah for me! Looking forward to tomorrow and Friday, though mostly because they're both late shifts. Finishing at half 8 on Friday evening is absolutely lovely.

Martha's going on a Big Day Out with her friends to Dublin tomorrow. I think this is the first time she's been allowed go without a vaguely responsible adult. Not nervous, just half expecting some phone calls along the lines of "Help! I'm in Dublin! I don't know where I am!" But that's extremely unlikely. She's a clever kid and has been lucky enough to escape the Drawwda accent so should be able to make herself understood in the unlikely event of needing the assistance of the charming people of Dublin. Also, being 15, chances are she'd just text me.
