By making sure I can get through first year and not have to walk to Dublin every day. Now to get me a bike so I can save myself about an hour a day by cycling to the station instead of walking.
Bad thing: Finances mean I'll not be moving back to Dublin till 3rd year. Unless I get one of the rooms in the nurses' home (it's still called that, despite my getting on a soap box repeatedly. Hell, there was enough problem getting the signs that said "nurses station" changed. They now read "staff base", which makes my old Trek nerd self giggle.)
Good thing: Name's going on the list to see if I can get a room in nurses' home next year. Stupidly cheap accommodation, round the same price as my train ticket. In as central a location as you can get, really. Fingers crossed.
