School updatey

Still ill but not sick. Yay. And as long as this cold vanishes by New Year's Eve when I start placement in delivery it'll all be fine. Honest.

Placement sheets arrived the other day. I've two weeks in James' for medical, two in Naas for surgical, a week DOMINO (domiciliary midwifery) and a week public health in Blanch before Christmas. That's the crap stuff out of the way, at least as regards commuting. After Christmas, straight into delivery (scrubs!) for a month and a fortnight in theatre (more scrubs! 6 weeks of not having to wash bloody uniforms!) General postnatal and women's refuge placements happen later on in the year. The refuge is possibly going to be the most difficult placement of the year. Fun of attending film lectures Monday and Thursday evenings still happens, even when I'm in Naas. Hee hee. Time to check out the attendance requirement for that one... I feel like I need a holiday already just thinking about it.

Oh, and there's going to be a "meet the first years" thing happening soonish. With cake! I promise not to scare them off.
