May. 9th, 2008 09:06 amSo this morning started with me out at Termonfeckin, swimming in the sea or whatever the almost-submerged equivalent of pootling is while the rain came down. So, so good. Couldn't tell you the last time I jumped into the sea. It was almost a proper swim, would have been better if there'd been someone to stand guard over my clothes because the thought of walking back home nekkid didn't exactly appeal. Certainly not wet and nekkid. But swimming in the rain? Oooh... yummy!
I've since baked, breakfasted on baked goods, put on a wash and fed and seen most of the family off to Dublin where there will be shopping for bras and gimchi noodles for me. Mmmm... gimchi.
Today I'm going shopping. Not for anything in particular, just to get the hell out of this rut of work/sleep/family. Then I'm going to bloody well henna my hair. I refuse to have 6 inches of grey in photos of this first Communion thing but getting the 6 hours to do the job properly has been difficult lately. Where lately is "this academic year." And then bake some more. Tomorrow's my last day in postnatal, then I can hang up the uniform until September. Inshallah.
