Oooh! I've just realised something! I will have weekends free this year. Wow. The only long midwifery placement I have is in the antenatal clinics, which means no weekends for me. At all. For the whole year. The ability to actually plan seeing people and not have to cancel at the last minute because shifts have changed is quite nice. So I have weekends for that. Zing! I can do stuff! Like, have an approximation of a life. Oh gods! That said, the last 6 weeks of lectures in the year I'm only in Dublin twice a week. Which is nice, cos I can work from home and not have to battle Bus/Iarnród Éireann. It does rather imply that I'll be a bit busy with things like the dissertation though.

Speaking of, I'm still stumped for an idea. I want to do something on more social aspects of pregnancy and birth. Damnit, but there's just too much to choose from.

And, er, I should be asleep, but I got distracted by trying to avoid talking to someone. Cleber, I has it.

Dublin! Chapters! Books!
Da luuas. I do, I really do. Now, if someone could tell me when Busaras and Connelly stops are opening again I'd be a very happy fishie. I'm out in James' a lot next year. (Early Autumn? That's helpful. Actually, now that I think of it, do the signs specify what year?)
Sounding drunk in museums! Er, it's not my fault that some of the exhibits in the National History Museum are hilariously displayed.
The giant plume-y pens in the shop in the museum. So impractical, so wanted.
Chocolate covered candied orange segments from Thorntons. Especially when the factory clearance choklit is on BOGOF.
Talking about VBAC babies while checking to see if anyone who's listening has gone green.
Finally meeting [livejournal.com profile] mackenziegrace. Who is fantabulous!
