(no subject)
Jan. 11th, 2009 02:48 amAt 5'8" I am not short. I am not tall, either, but I am not short. I am, in fact, the perfect height. (
natural20 is quite wrong in his views on the subject.) I have a 31" inside leg. I know this, because I'm a sodding dressmaker. Ridiculously out of practice, but still. So why am I finding it impossible to get trousers and jeans that are the right length? In many shops 31" has become the "regular" length (which raises all sorts of issues for my teenchy family with their 25" legs) yet even then it's bloody wrong.
This was brought to you today by the realisation that the jeans I've worn twice are worn out at the back hem because they're obviously trailing along behind me. And claim to be regular leg length of 31". Bah!
