Mar. 24th, 2009 04:57 pmThird time's the charm? I'm hoping so. This was the third time I've sat that blasted exam, but the first where I came out as relaxed as I went in, which was pretty damn horizontal. I managed not to insert any swearwords in front of the name O'Driscoll when talking about the third stage of labour, I brung in my sociology and pharmacology modules, I'm pretty damn happy. Shattered, but happy. I no longer have hands, but a claw that 4 hours later is still crampy and twisted in on itself. Two pens gave their all, 3 full manuscript books (24 pages in total, so less writing than last year, but it was all to the point. Unlike last year.)
An extra year of experience, particularly in the clinical areas, has made a huge difference. Having come fairly recently from OPD I was delireh to see a question on booking visits. And then postnatal stuff, where I was pretty damn good, too. So yeah, confident enough, we'll see soon enough if it's enough to get what I want, but at the minute I'm relaxing more, cos that worked pretty well as exam prep for today.
Getting away for the couple of days made a huge difference to everything, not least my psychological well-being.
