Jun. 1st, 2009 11:30 pmWoke up today round 6, then 8, then half 11 when I finally crawled out of bed just in time for "good morning!" to still be the right thing to say to someone. Read the rest of Birth Crisis, tried to start on Failure to Progress, then noticed that there was more fire happening outside. Fire. Meat. Food. Ug.
Realised that I'd randomly bought a pint of cream on Friday night that could well do with being used, so cream, eggs, sugar and milk and a lot of time later there was absolutely fantastic ice-cream with strawberries and raspberries. I've never made ice-cream before today. I like it! Freeze, attack with fork, freeze, attack with fork, freeze, nom. And more for tomorrow, yayness! Remembered also just how much cider makes me belch.
This weekend has been all about the tasty fire cooked meats (and occasionally toona steaks) in my tummy. It's been fabulous. Face feels very slightly unhappy, but it's more likely to be breeze burn than sun burn. Cos if factor 45 reapplied regularly doesn't stop me burning I might as well give up and stay inside until October.
Ice-cream! I made it! I am so happy with myself for that!
And then I got all excited about a Shakespeare thing until I looked at the icky site and generally went "meh." Apart from Midsummer Night's Dream in the rose garden in Trinity. That looks fun. Weather permitting. Anyone interested?
