Jun. 8th, 2009 12:16 amI hate the first day of any placement, not because I hate the placement, but because I get so jittery and fretful about not waking up on time that I cannot sleep the night before. Also, Sundays are horribly late-finishing days, chores wise, so it's usually quite late before I get started on getting ready for the next day. I have not yet learned the lesson that this means I should probably get ready for work before the usual Sunday chores start.
Four days in paediatric outpatients ahead, Mon - Thurs. Late start, 0800, but I still have to be on the 0600 bus to make sure I'm in on time. Bleurgh. Thursday evening is for entertainments, though it remains to be seen just how much of my Saturday of fun will have to be cancelled with other things being rescheduled.
But in shiny news, my print from the Spencer Tunick installation thing I did last year (last bloody year! On the 21st of June! Freezing my not so little backside off!) will finally be arriving this week. Must intercept the post as my mother has threatened to claim it, frame it, and put it on display in the shrine to her children and grandchildren. Or the sitting room, as the rest of the family calls it. Oooh, go looksee at http://www.tunickireland.com/ WARNING: contains nudity :) Naked Sarah!
I've also now pretty much claimed the bathroom in the granny flat as my own. The shower is horrendously noisy as the motor or some such thing is dying, but it's wallpapered with fishie paper, so it really does fit me more than anyone else :D
