Martha started college today. Squee! She was a bit unsure about leaving the security and structure of school but I think she's a lot more unsure about being the only one in her class of 20 who's just finished the Leaving Cert. Indeed, she's the only one younger than 23. Oh dear. Thankfully she shares most classes with general nurses and midwives at the mo so is spending lots of time with the midwife we met last week.

Am less than happy about that midwives sharing nursing lectures part, though. We is diffrent and speshul! No sticking us in with the people who look after sick people! I wonder if they're as vocal as we were about that, our psychology lecturer in 1st year hated us for pointing out that not everyone in the room was a nurse and was a bit disparaging when the midwiffey lot saw a gynaecoid pelvis and not pretty butterflies in an ink blotty thingie.

I picked a new friend for my baby sister :) And tomorrow I'm back on placement, in a midwife led unit. SQUEE! Even better, don't have to worry about uniform not fitting because it's civvies. Hooray for everything!

Oooh, and cake has just appeared in front of me. Nom.
