(no subject)

I've just rung in sick for the first time ever in this job. I've been sent home sick once (werlll, sent to hospital sick) and another time thought I'd be ok but really wasn't once I got in, so this is the first time having to bleep someone to take my details and whine down the phone at them for being siiiicky.

Given that I could barely talk through coughing, I reckon I'm safe in it not being assumed that I'm taking the piss and don't wanna go in. Ahhh, irrational guilt.

One of us always gets sick when Mum's away. Always. It's usually Martha and it's usually vomitty sick. Ha, this'll prepare her for placement :D I have a bucket beside the bed, a mug of piping hot honey and lemon cooling a bit for the sore throat (any excuse to make that!) and snarfed down a gram of paracetamol for the headaches. I'll be graaaand. (Mum gets a glaring at for passing it on to me - she had this a few days ago.)

No temperature. I checked using three different thermometers and two different routes on each. Just. In. Case. Gonna try and sleep again in a few minutes for more than a few minutes. Sorry about whinging, I'm not good with being infecty sick!
