So, apparently Father's Day is tomorrow. That might explain why dad was confused when I seemingly randomly threw a bunch of bog books at him last Sunday. Ah.
Also, anyone got a copy of the Tudors I could borrow? The thought occurs that I might want to watch it sometime. Have mailed someone who may be looking for "women with midwifery experience" to work as extras on the next season. Advance squeeage.
Martha has her eye on a Polo. And my brain straight away thought "pony." We're starting on Leaving Cert Biology soon. I think I might even sit the exam, just for kicks. I'm going to bring her up to Dublin sometime to show her the school of nursing and midwifery (the old gas building on D'Olier Street, which is really pretty, though the glass cortile is a bastard of a room to heat and to hear in) and show her where St. Pat's is, just to see if I can tempt her away from doing psych nursing in DKIT. Then again, if I could go back there's a fair chance I'd change to DKIT from TCD, if only from a "I like sleep occasionally, I hear it's useful" perspective.
I have pretty much slept this last week and done nothing bar watch movies, read and internerd. Shall poke agency soon because I still have debts to pay off and barely a penny to my name (no, really, I have 8 euro, that's it *giggles*) Moving back to Dublin for third year is looking increasingly unlikely. Still have that pesky registration fee to find for this year, too, which is pretty much the same amount of money as my commuting for the whole year. Still, commuting during lectures is a lot easier than during placement and as I only have 12 weeks of placement next year it'll be an awful lot less painful than the 18 of this year. Also need to let placement co-ordinator know that I'm sitting Schol again next year as the exams fall right in the middle of the second block of placement. That could cause difficulties, but if I have to repeat placement, so be it. I was 10.something% away from getting it this year, I can do it next year. The benefits are too good not to try. And the other classmate who sat it this year (who did get exemptions, yay her!) is going again too, so I has a study buddy.
And my brain, it works normally again. Hurrah for that.
