Well, that was fun
Jun. 21st, 2008 08:14 am2,500 naked people turned to face the sun this morning in Dublin. I was one of them. As was Christian. Yay us.
I am the worst person in the world to take directions from. The number of times while heading out that I said "I coulda sworn you could turn left there" was quite staggering. I'm too used to walking round Dublin. I managed to get us lost only once though, and we arrived at the registration point 15 minutes after we'd planned on being there. Which isn't too bad considering I was left in charge of directions. In charge of directions to somewhere on the southside, too. I was fine until we got to crossing that river thing.
Hopped on the bus that was bringing us out to the place of the photos, out to the South Wall. Watched the sun rise, didn't feel too cold. Course, I was still clothed at that point. Which made a significant difference, as two hours after getting clothes back on there are parts of my backside that still feel cold. There may have been some people arriving on ferries that were quite surprised to see not only that many people at that hour of the morning waving to them, but that many naked people.
The rain held off until about half six when there was only one setup left to do. At that stage though I was too cold and too dressed to get nekkid again, so I'll console myself with having taken part in the majority of it. Didn't particularly feel like catching a cold. So we headed back to Drawwda and I've now got a snoozing boy in my bed. Which means I'm awake until I get him breakfasted and gone. This does give me ample opportunity to get my tummy full of nice warm beverages though. It's still piddling down outside. Thanks for listening to my pleas for fine weather, whoever's in charge of it! I owe you a cookie for that.
