Oct. 31st, 2008 12:37 amLast day of mental health placement tomorrow. Apparently it's a half day, which means I hopefully won't have to bunk off early to go to the FGM seminar at lunchtime in college. Then it's Cark and Cake. The Sarah heading down to Cark is a much happier, more relaxed one than the one that was there in June. Will still be grateful for the peace that descends on me when I'm there though. And of course the easy access to Cake.
Still have no idea what I want to do my dissertation on. Contemplating something to do with antenatal screening for chromosomal abnormalities, but that's just this week's idea. Problem is, most of the things I'm interested in are being covered at next week's midwifery nerdery conf and I don't want it to look like I just scanned the programme and picked something at random. Damnit. IV drug use is also a possibility. As is non-English speaking women's experiences of maternity care in Ireland (because using household staff as translators, or only being able to get a male translator on the rare occasions that we're authorised to get a translator at all is perfectly acceptable...)
