Dec. 11th, 2008 12:39 amEva was down with the kids today. Here, have two things that made me squeeful:
Emma (3) made a treasure map, complete with X marking the spot. She then rolled it up and stuck it down her trousers because "that's what pirates do and I'm a pirate. Arr!"
Niamh (8) had some maths homework that she was really struggling with. She had to say which of the following shapes tessellate: circle, square, triangle, semicircle, hexagon and rectangle. So we sat down with pencil and paper and after three minutes she was back in the kitchen talking loudly about honeycombs and sheets of paper bigger than the world. And the hugs I got for explaining! (Also, tessellations? The rest of my family think that's the name of my fish.)
