Dec. 25th, 2008 04:23 amDinner all ready for tomorrow later today. Turkey needs to go into the oven in two hours. Early dinner this year cos the mama is working Christmas night. Where she's fully expecting three deaths. No, really. They hang on until she gets there. At the cup of tea after Mass at her work she had to be told to circulate because the nuns all wanted to sit beside her. Which is sweet. I've never had a death at work. Anywhere, even on my out of normal hospital placements or in the neonatal unit.
Only three kinds of stuffing today, which used up two loaves of bread. A couple of kilos of veg, a veritable mountain of potatoes, one pudding, one trifle, six slices of Christmas cake, three dozen mince pies, more truffles than even I know what to do with, a turkey that just barely fits in the oven (whether the door closes after it is going to be fun finding out later), a seven kilo ham and a melon. There are only 8 of us this year.
And now I'm going to wrap my presents and possibly get a couple of hours kip so Santa can arrive. Happy Christmas, y'all.
