Have been nomming on a box of Milk Tray for the last couple of hours while watching Dr Who and The Day the Earth Stood Still because I want to have the original fresh in my mind so I can be suitably unimpressed with the remake. My inner child and inner mammy are fighting over whether I'm allowed go to the second layer without finishing the first. The first layer has only two Turkish delights on it and TD makes me deeply unhappy. I've even got over my hatred of most things nutty by sucking off the chocolate from around the hazelnuts and patooey-ing them into an empty glass.

Wonder if it defeats the purpose to take multivit tab and cod liver oil caps with martinis. No caffeine, no dairy, no vit C either - first two to hinder last one to help with the absorbing of the iron to stop me being less iron filled than I was when I was veggie with ridiculously heavy periods and a 21 day cycle. Not that I'm at all confused over this. More steaks, chocolate and spinach! Preferably not on the same plate, mind.

Have two gallons of mead fermenting away in my room, so there's a whole lot of glubbing going on. There's another one going out into the shed tomorrow to see if it'll clear any better out there. Isinglass doesn't work with mead (no tannin) and I'm reluctant to use it anyway cos everything adds or takes away something. And there's no real need to be adding bits of fishies when time and cold will do the job. Or cold and milk, milk works extraordinarily well sometimes. Binds itself to something or other. I need more knowledge. Been doing this for long enough, should know more at this stage. 10 years since I made my first "wine". Getting a wee bit better, at least, no-one has pulled faces in the last few years.

Hmm, decision made, I'll eat two of the square chocolates from the second layer and can replace them with the Turkish. Problem solved! Now to solve the mystery of the oedematous right hand and sore wrist. Can't sleep, too full of chocolate. Going to be even more stuffed in a bit.
