I swear, I'll stop posting about my foot anytime now. But in the meantime:
Felt better today. The drugs worked for about 2 hours which left 2 hours of pain and associated limping before I could take more. This was noticed. So much so I was dragged into the office, which initially filled me with a "oh gods, did I kill someone?" dread that turned into "they're making me go to hospital?" horror. So they did. The ward Sister arranged for a taxi (Taxi?! To the Mater? It's 5 minutes walk. On normal legs, at least.) while I dictated a letter from one of the docs "That's Sarah with a h and just shove as many ns and os in the surname as you want, you might want to get them to report back to Occ. Health instead of you though. Put that down the bottom. Good chap, here's a cookie."

Oh man was it good to bypass A+E. The thought of 6 hours sitting waiting for an X-ray I didn't actually want did not particularly appeal. So letter in hand I flounced as best I could up to X-ray reception instead. In, irradiated, films checked (NO BREAK!), out. 40 minutes. Who says we've a crappy health service? And the guy manhandling my poor tootsies was insaaanely cute. Though I've been thinking that a lot about most people lately. I blame the drugs.

Am technically on bedrest, though going to work tomorrow. I know, I know, but it's not broken and if I miss one more day I've to repeat the whole placement over either my two week Easter break (for which I have Plans) or the summer. Anti-embolism stockings are win. Three day weekend though, during which I'm not leaving the house.
