Five more months..

squeefulfishOf self-imposed exile, of commuting, of having to leave fabulously fun parties early, of getting up at half four for placement, of being cranky cos of utter lack of social life. Mind you, next 6 months are going to be some of the busiest possible, between placement, lectures, long essay and (eep!) finals. Hopefully then I'll be able to move into the residence at work and while potential for nookie doesn't increase, potential for social life (OMG!) significantly increases.
Wonderful evening in Maynooth and would have loved to stay longer, but public transport conspired against me. My cheeks still hurt from all the laughing, I haven't had that much fun in ages. People of this evening: I've missed you all!
Now I'm off to compose a mail of complaint to Bus Eireann who still, many many years after introducing online ticket sales, have bus drivers who do not know how to change a magic printout of a mail with ticket number into an actual ticket valid for travel. This has happened occasionally in the past and usually I've been able to go into Busaras and have a wee chat with an inspector. This time, I didn't have time to go there after getting to Dublin and I left Dublin from Drumcondra in order to catch an earlier bus. It might only be €8 that I've been charged for, but it's the principle of the damn thing!
In leg news, walking is getting easier not only as the days go on but as the day goes on. Only took an extra 10 minutes longer than usual to get home from Drogheda bus station, though I might be paying for that in the morning.
Tomorrow is for meconium aspiration, respiratory distress and transient tachypnoea of the newborn as well as further looking at last CEMACH. Read a fair bit of "Reading Birth and Death: A History of Obstetric Thinking" on the journeys today. It takes a while to get into, but then it makes me rant and instinctively cross my legs. Uhh, crotchets! (Trust me, you do not want to know.)
