Squeeeeee!
Sep. 18th, 2009 08:50 pmI've squeed about this everywhere else, tis your turn, eljays. Passed third year. Am bleedin' shattered but I feel great. Have been grinning almost continuously since 11 this morning. Cheek muscles will hurt in the morning but that's ok, cos I is a Senior Sophister now, go me!
Didn't do badly in the exam as it turns out. Got 70/100 on cholestasis question which I was well chuffed about. The other two were mid 50s, but don't care, passed passed passed. And as 50% is max mark I can get for a supplemental it doesn't matter. Mind you, cholestasis is the only one of the things on the paper that I'm likely to encounter, the others being more neonatal nursing questions. So, so happy. Everyone who sat the exam passed but we had a casualty in a different subject and one of us won't be returning after the repeats. We're now down to 28 from a starting intake of 44. 2 babies so far in the class, wonder if we'll get a third before this time next year.
I was going to spend the evening doing fun stuff involving yeasts and girl bits (not combined, that's never fun) but right now a movie and a pint of hot chocolate is about as much as I can manage.
Got stared at in class cos of snuggling up to Cathy while sitting on a windowsill cos chairs are uncomfortable (happiest when on yoga ball, am I, must get one for home.) Meh, boobies are nice to cuddle up to and we're a delightfully close knit group. (Am not bonking Cat.) I has luffly friends and wouldn't have made it this far without ye. Thank you. The last year was bad, but thanks to the support I've had from family, classmates and friends I've made it. Nearly there, so very nearly there. <40 commutes left until I move into the home in work!
Now, if Iarnród Éireann would hurry up and fix that bridge so my buses aren't packed anymore with people who don't know how to use buses, that'd be dandy. "Do you take laser?"
