Washing machine is dead. After 16 years of faithful service. Not bad for an appliance that's used a minimum of 14 times a week. It was as old as Martha. I'm not sure how I feel about life spans of appliances being compared to life spans of my sisters. The only recently replaced tumble drier was as old as Eva. Bought in 1980. There seems to be no appliances in the house as old as me.
