Yeah, turns out it's not for the weak. It's also a sign that I'm ill, as a child I slept through any illness I had though that's not always an option these days. Got home last night round 5 and mumbled something about not wanting dinner and I was going to have a lie down for an hour or so. 13 hours later I resurface. With more than slightly swollen tonsils. Shurrup, I'll get them out when I qualify and actually get sick leave. Though my irrational fear about general anaesthetics has been kicked in the head a little after my two weeks in theatre and seeing a fair few, mostly for crash sections.

Oooh, vague memories of conversation with mum when she was leaving for work. Huh, wonder what I said?

This leaves me perfectly awake at this hour of the morning on a Saturday! Way hey! Sun still isn't up but the birds are making their presence felt.

Now, off to pull together my presentation on representations of birth in film and television. I had to watch Knocked Up for this, damn well better get a decent mark. Mind you, it has its good points. Just not from a comedic angle. Or a filmic one. Or, actually, no feck it, it's woeful. Also, yay Firefly! Heart of Gold is getting more than its fair share of coverage because River's just feckin' great in it. It's going to be a bit strange referencing my old meeja whore books again.

But first, let's see if I can keep breakfast down! Dry toast... Mmmmm.... Tasty...

And no, still not pregnant. Stop thinking that, people. There have been no angels of the Lord declaring unto me, that's something one traditionally remembers.

Normal Sarah service will resume anytime now. Anytime. Yeah.
