Finally.....

So the whole midwifery student thing is happening and in order to not bore all my friends individually some basic information about the life of Sarah for the next 12 weeks or something follows.
I'll be in the Rotunda every Tuesday from now til Christmas, after that things change and get more interesting. Like 4 weeks full-time in the Rotunda (thankfully I didn't get sent to the Coombe, that would have been an interesting commute from Drogheda) with stuff and more stuff. And babies. And women's bits.
Wednesdays I'm in James's for sticking needles in things.
Thursdays I'm in bed, uh, that is self-directed study, yeah, that's right and so not coming up just for coffee. Those days are over now that I'm spending 3 hours a day on a bus and still walking 6 miles a day. Yay.
Monday and Friday evenings are very free for coffee. Hint. Hint.
Uniforms are still being faffed around with. Trinity and the HSE are arguing over who's paying for them (it's not me, that's important here.) It's not the most flattering of tunics. There's a crest. And red piping. On white. That'll make it nice and easy to keep clean. First Hep. B shot out of the way (silly Sarah not keeping up with her boosters) and have to get my nose swabbed for MRSA or something next week. Nose. Swab. Urg.
Other than that, well, it's very good so far. Rather scary seeing the next 4 years of my life planned out. Finishing late September 2010. Inshallah.
All the same, feels like home.
