Damned wind keeps waking me up by blowing things against my bedroom window. I'm not a light sleeper. I can sleep through me snoring, which not many people can do. I've slept through fire alarms, smoke alarms, phone calls, entire years at college, but the flowerpots that keep banging against the window keep irritating me. Not enough to actually go out there and pick them up so they'll stop doing it, though. Have you any idea how cold and blustery it is out there? Well, no, I don't either, but I can guess.
So looks like I'm awake for the rest of the night. Yay. Contemplated doing some revision of haemoglobinopathies, but then I thought I'd just Lj about thinking about it so I could show off I can spell haemoglobinopathies. I think I'll investigate some placentas instead. Not real ones, though. They don't let me take them home. Actually, some places that aren't where I'm training don't let you take your own one home at all. Which is weird. Apparently for "infection control" reasons. No, don't let me get started.
Finally got round to watching the first episode of Sean's Show. Yay! Actual yay! There's a few jokes in there that I know I got at the time but don't anymore. I'm apparently too old now. Or they were vaguely topical, and I have swiss cheese brain. Speaking of, have a real urge to watch some Quantum Leap. Might get in an ep or two before I have to get out of bed.
Nice warm bed. Horrible cold outdoors. Two more days of lectures. Then I'm freeee! For a bit anyway. Which is good, gives me time to do my already late film essay and read about stuff.
And I'm not looking at photos of cute boys. Oh no. Not at all.
And why on earth was I more eloquent and intelligent and other -ents when I was 18 than I am now? Stupid hormones, that's what I'm blaming. And maybe I'll try for another hour's kip.
